Raimundo Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raimundo Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of PATO BRANCO FC booed when Atlético Cristo Rei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséas Recife's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredão Bueno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Alfredão Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Modrić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Admon in the 30th minute of play forced Atlético Cristo Rei's goalkeeper Alfredão Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Vítor Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Cristo Rei's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Atlético Cristo Rei booed when PATO BRANCO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Admon took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredão Bueno. Alfredão Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Admon in the 41st minute of play forced Atlético Cristo Rei's goalkeeper Alfredão Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Cristo Rei's Alfredão Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Peio in the 44th minute of play. After 48 minutes, Wágner Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PATO BRANCO FC and the Atlético Cristo Rei players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Cristo Rei booed when PATO BRANCO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half PATO BRANCO FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukáš Modrić to make the kick off. Alfredão Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Peio in the 57th minute of the match. Lukáš Modrić received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredão Bueno came out and tried to block the shot, but Lukáš Modrić slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 58th minute. Alfredão Bueno came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by PATO BRANCO FC's Lukáš Modrić. But to his dismay, Lukáš Modrić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Eulalio Peio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eulalio Peio in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredão Bueno saved Atlético Cristo Rei from getting behind. Eulalio Peio took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredão Bueno. Alfredão Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Oséas Recife put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Alfredão Bueno. If Oséas Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Admon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfredão Bueno firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wágner Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Bueno having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded PATO BRANCO FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Cristo Rei.
