In the 41st minute Qarabulud La Forgia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Qarabulud La Forgia made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guarapari do Esp. Santo's Emílio de Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Palmeiras made a substitution. Luís Gustavo Simão replaced Kléberson Neiva. Emílio de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Donato in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Guarapari do Esp. Santo's Emílio de Amorim got control of the ball when Tarcisio Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonardo Donato who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Emílio de Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Palmeiras fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Palmeiras's Qarabulud La Forgia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Donato in the 92nd minute of play forced Guarapari do Esp. Santo's goalkeeper Emílio de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Emílio de Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Palmeiras's Qarabulud La Forgia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
