Guga de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Guto Kleber sent off a good shot on target. Rony Rüşti charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Rüşti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rony Rüşti hit a great ball. Leandro Custódio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Balkiewicz's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Rony Rüşti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Guto Kleber sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Edmund Balkiewicz made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guto Kleber in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga de Azevedo saved Xandeco FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Edmund Balkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Custódio was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when Xandeco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Xandeco FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
