The supporters of Werneck FC - DMZ booed when THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Emilio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Willian de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Luz in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Zé Paulo Luz notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Willian de Alcântara. Willian de Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 45 played minutes THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Nóbrega. Joélson Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alfredo Silva made the kick off in the second half. In the 95th minute, Werneck FC - DMZ's Joélson Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Willian de Alcântara. Willian de Alcântara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. Werneck FC - DMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
