Willian de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reginaldo Baiano's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Lima came free, but Willian de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Agnaldo Diniz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Internacional de Almagro's Lucas Torres didn't even have to move. After 13 played minutes THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Silva. After 15 minutes THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Washington Lago who took care of the corner kick. Willian de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Lima in the 16th minute of play. Belmiro Lima took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian de Alcântara. Willian de Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Willian de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Gaspar in the 24th minute of the match. Lucas Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Diniz in the 26th minute of play. Lauro Gaspar took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian de Alcântara. Willian de Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA booed when Internacional de Almagro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Recife took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucas Torres. Internacional de Almagro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Germano Romero got a free kick in the 39th minute. Willian de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Gaspar in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Lima in the 43rd minute of play forced THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's goalkeeper Willian de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Lucas Torres managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Jorge Fantini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute Belmiro Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Queiroz lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 53rd minute, one of Internacional de Almagro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Internacional de Almagro. Lucas Torres had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Jorge Fantini's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 57th match minute, Internacional de Almagro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Rubinho Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Willian de Alcântara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Fantini's late challenge caught a Internacional de Almagro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Jorge Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian de Alcântara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lauro Gaspar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 67 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jorge Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Torres was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Internacional de Almagro's Washington Lago took a good shot, in the 82nd minute, which hit the crossbar above Willian de Alcântara's head, and flew over the goal. THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Internacional de Almagro. Willian de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Gaspar in the 85th minute of play. Rubinho Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Willian de Alcântara made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's zone, Lauro Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian de Alcântara came out of the goal and Lauro Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian de Alcântara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lauro Gaspar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 96 minute of play. When the match was over Internacional de Almagro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA throughout the match.
