An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Marquez in the 10th minute of play forced C.R. Vallongo's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Atlético Paulista made a substitution. Severino Soares replaced Noah Leverenz. The supporters of Clube Atlético Paulista booed when C.R. Vallongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Saul Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Rickard Ödman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atlético Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. C.R. Vallongo's Luiz Fabiano Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Ödman in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.R. Vallongo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Corbett Alonso was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube Atlético Paulista's players had a chance to rest. Pedrinho Aparecido was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Palmeira during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes C.R. Vallongo got a freekick which was hit by Durval Palmeira. The C.R. Vallongo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clube Atlético Paulista were winning 0-3.

Luiz Fabiano Cruz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saul Mambru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Ödman in the 59th minute of play. Marcos de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rickard Ödman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Saul Mambru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fabiano Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Clube Atlético Paulista's Pedro Paulo Massa was substituted for Evaristo Gaúcho. C.R. Vallongo's Mauro Ramos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pedrinho Aparecido, made in the 71st minute of the game. Rickard Ödman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Luiz Fabiano Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fabiano Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Matorin came free, but Aden Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Pena in the 89th minute of play forced C.R. Vallongo's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, C.R. Vallongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Matorin to maneuver through the defense. C.R. Vallongo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yuri Marquez 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. In the 97th minute, Clube Atlético Paulista's Marquinhos Pena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Clube Atlético Paulista's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
