But to his dismay, Mané Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Caio Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Coritiba City defense, Mané Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorival Abreu. The Coritiba City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorival Abreu should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the game, one of Coritiba City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dorival Abreu had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Xie Ying Cheng's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dorival Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elberg As took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dorival Abreu. Dorival Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 27th minute Mané Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caio Tavares hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Dorival Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Lara in the 31st minute of the match. Dorival Abreu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Mané Lara. But to his dismay, Mané Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Mané Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dorival Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alesandro Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Abreu having to interfere. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when Coritiba City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Joinville United - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alesandro Coutinho in the 53rd minute. Alesandro Coutinho made a great header on Joinville United - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Coritiba City's Dorival Abreu managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Lara in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival Abreu saved Coritiba City from getting behind. When Serginho Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coritiba City's protests and gave Serginho Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Coritiba City got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Aguiar. 58 minutes into the match, Mané Lara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dorival Abreu, 0-7. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Maurício Donatello was substituted for Mané Lara. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Lennart Khan was substituted for Elberg As. In the 64th minute, Maurício Donatello made a precise shot to the right of Dorival Abreu. Coritiba City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Donatello struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dorival Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville United - FSCMZ. In the 93rd minute, Jacek Krzynowek made a precise shot to the right of Dorival Abreu. Coritiba City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-11. Dorival Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Donatello in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Joinville United - FSCMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Coritiba City.
