Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fred Valencia got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Valencia in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute, Donato Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nilmar de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar de Souza couldn't finish the play. Alisson Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Luiz Fernando Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Ramalho in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Daniel Wincek hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Bezerros EC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Guedes. Donato Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Nilmar de Souza hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Claudinho do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Alisson Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Arantes in the 40th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Valencia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Claudinho do Vale made the kick off in the second half. Fred Valencia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 52 minutes into the game, Donato Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alisson Goycochea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Fernando Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Arce in the 56th minute of play. Alex Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Fred Valencia managed to work through Bezerros EC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fred Valencia dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Alisson Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Bezerros EC's Luiz Fernando Peixoto got control of the ball when Geovanni Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Fernando Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Alisson Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Arantes in the 87th minute of the match. If Fred Valencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA booed when Bezerros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Nilmar de Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bezerros EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
