Bene Animatus's Juvenal Talló played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Dante in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Luisinho Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Talló saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Horácio Alcântara hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Velloso in the 21st minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23rd play minutes Jardel Velloso shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Amadeu Lamego and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Velloso in the 28th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jardel Velloso in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Lamego saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. Amadeu Lamego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Juvenal Talló showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Meirelles in the 31st minute of the match. Jardel Velloso scored 2-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeu Lamego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bene Animatus's Juvenal Talló played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Meirelles in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Leandro Fonseca got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amadeu Lamego was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 39th minute Jardel Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Bene Animatus got a freekick which was hit by Simon Hooker. A hard and well directed shot from Horácio Alcântara led 46 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Bene Animatus's Juvenal Talló became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jardel Velloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cícero Perez hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's Carlos Eduardo Toledo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 56 minutes of play, Bene Animatus's Jardel Velloso made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeu Lamego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juvenal Talló made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Dante in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Bene Animatus booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Lamego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Velloso's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Leandro Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Lamego was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Alessandro Meirelles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Juvenal Talló when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Bene Animatus's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Dante came free, but Juvenal Talló reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Jardel Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bene Animatus's Juvenal Talló played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Meirelles in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jardel Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Lamego was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Horácio Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Jardel Velloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Amadeu Lamego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Velloso came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Jardel Velloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jardel Velloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Bene Animatus were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SAO JOANENSE FC for a fine match.
