Rodriguinho Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisinho Netto went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Lamego had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Antônio Amorim's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 31st minute Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ were awarded a corner. Antônio Amorim went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which A.J. 张飞 managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 31stth minute of the game Wei Bang Cheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Luz in the 32nd minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Cardozo in the 35th minute of the match. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Luz in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Michel Luz made a precise shot to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Antônio Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Lamego came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's A.J. 张飞. But to his dismay, A.J. 张飞 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Dante to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Bang Cheng in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rômulo Prata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodriguinho Loureiro was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The supporters of Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match, Antônio Amorim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amadeu Lamego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Dante in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horácio Alcântara's late challenge caught a Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Amadeu Lamego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from A.J. 张飞 went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. A.J. 张飞 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Lamego having to interfere. In the 89th minute Michel Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Horácio Alcântara hit a great ball. Michel Luzs short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Amadeu Lamego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 93 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wei Bang Cheng came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Michel Luz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amadeu Lamego. That made the score 1-4 after 97 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
