An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Ferreira in the 3rd minute of play forced Uraricuera EC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Uraricuera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Cavalcante came free, but Chiquinho Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Pedro Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uraricuera EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitório Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Glauco Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Pedro Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glauco Aparecido. 23 minutes into the match, Uraricuera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Maietta came free, but Chiquinho Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Munhoz came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Glauco Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amos Maietta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Peres having to interfere. Pedro Munhoz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vitório Massa came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Munhoz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 44th minute. Pedro Munhoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitório Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Itapema's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vladimir Albuquerque in the 54th minute. Vladimir Albuquerque made a great header on Itapema's corner, it was just that Uraricuera EC's Chiquinho Peres managed to reach the ball for a save. After 56 played minutes Itapema got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Loureiro. Vitório Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luiz Gonçalves in the 57th minute of the match. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Gonçalves in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Uraricuera EC's Pedro Munhoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitório Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Vitório Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Aparecido in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uraricuera EC's Glauco Aparecido got a free kick in the 97th minute. Uraricuera EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
