Sydney Mendonça was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Geovânio Proença capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovânio Proença really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of Caxinha F. C. booed when GUARANI E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Geovânio Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GUARANI E.C.'s Sydney Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Tepedino in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to GUARANI E.C. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bernardinho Pires hit a great ball. Sydney Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matías Tepedino went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Caxinha F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Su Yao Xiang in the 25th minute. It was a well-played corner which Remo Proença managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Caxinha F. C.'s Silvério Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Seco in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind GUARANI E.C.'s goalkeeper Sydney Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Tepedino in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 34 played minutes Caxinha F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Geovânio Proença. If Geovânio Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Caxinha F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Betão Netto came free, but Silvério Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matías Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Geovânio Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sydney Mendonça was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Silvério Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Pires in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Vito Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GUARANI E.C. made a substitution. Alexander Carragher replaced Betão Netto.
