The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the match, Célio Fontes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of EC Fragata's Luís Gustavo Barreto. Luís Gustavo Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dé Prado hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Lobo Zornoza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After some careless play in the EC Fragata defense, Nae Buteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo Barreto. The EC Fragata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo Barreto should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Dé Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Sergipano was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Lobo Zornoza notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of EC Fragata's Luís Gustavo Barreto. Luís Gustavo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Fontes in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Célio Fontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo Barreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Clemente Zanussi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Luís Gustavo Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE. EC Fragata's Luís Gustavo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Fontes in the 45th minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Valladares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, EC Fragata's Luís Gustavo Barreto got control of the ball when Nae Buteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 51 minutes, Thomás Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Fragata and the CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Gustavo Barreto came out and tried to block the shot, but Célio Fontes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 77th minute. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Kiko Tande was substituted for Célio Fontes. Marcus Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Sergipano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Marcus Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Fragata's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Gustavo Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nae Buteanu went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, EC Fragata's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Tande. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amado Froila in the 92nd minute. Luís Gustavo Barreto made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Kiko Tande sent off a good shot on target. The EC Fragata fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
