Lawerence Marion started the match with the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 2 minutes, Santo Marcos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Paulopolis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cícero Reis in the 4th minute. After taking down the ball on Paulopolis's corner Cícero Reis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santo Marcos quite easily take care of the ball. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cícero Reis was slow to take the kick. During this time Paulopolis's players had a chance to rest. 12 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Beetens came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Dieguinho Amaral fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Dieguinho Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paulopolis's protests and gave Dieguinho Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. Dieguinho Amaral hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Ruy Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Marcos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dieguinho Amaral in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Marcos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Germano Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ruy Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Marcos having to interfere. The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 47th minute, where Paulopolis:s Cícero Reis tricked BEITAR JERUSALEM FC:s Santo Marcos with a difficult ball by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dieguinho Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Cayetano Rito made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Felix Beetens sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute, Lawerence Marion made a precise shot to the right of Cayetano Rito. Paulopolis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lawerence Marion got free with Cayetano Rito in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes, Dieguinho Amaral made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's Santo Marcos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito got control of the ball when Felix Beetens tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Elias Lima managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Lawerence Marion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Paulopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. If Dieguinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Beetens got free with Cayetano Rito in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. George Smitt kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Motta. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
