Geovani Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Egídio Quirino made a huge save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Ferran to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes A.A.100Qualidade got a freekick which was hit by Iggy Costacurta. Egídio Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Caco Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moreto F.C. - Capivari's protests and gave Caco Esteves a yellow card for diving instead.
