An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Guedes in the 5th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 played minutes Ypiranga FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Chepe. In the 8th match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Olisadebe to maneuver through the defense. Andres Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to Ypiranga FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Roch Kieca hit a great ball. Petre Porumboiu was a little too slow when Abel Ramalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 28th minute, Alex Valera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Andres Ekhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Guedes in the 33rd minute of play. Ypiranga FC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Ricart Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arlindo Meireles took the corner. The corner led Ypiranga FC's Alex Valera to fire away a dangerous shot which Andres Ekhi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Veiga came free, but Andres Ekhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Furlan in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Ypiranga FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roch Kieca hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, Ypiranga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roch Kieca to maneuver through the defense. Andres Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47thth minute of the game Romeu Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ricart Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arlindo Meireles was slow to take the kick. During this time Ypiranga FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ypiranga FC's Arlindo Meireles to fire away a dangerous shot which Andres Ekhi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusebio Hori made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Roch Kieca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubens Neves hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Andres Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Furlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Andres Ekhi made a huge save. Petre Porumboiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doron Bantz in the 64th minute of play. If Eusebio Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Ypiranga FC's Luizinho Veiga. But to his dismay, Luizinho Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Petre Porumboiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Hori in the 81st minute of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Andres Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 89 minutes, Eusebio Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricart Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Hori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Eusebio Hori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
