With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yan Vieira in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilie Grecescu saved Fireball Esporte Clube from getting behind. Diguinho Toledo made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gil Magalhães sent off a good shot on target. Ilie Grecescu came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Dínamo São Paulo's Ronaldinho Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Ronaldinho Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Dínamo São Paulo's Diguinho Toledo got control of the ball when Gil Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 27 minutes Dínamo São Paulo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Naldo Schmidt who took care of the corner kick. Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Vieira in the 29th minute of play. André Siqueira scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Grecescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Fireball Esporte Clube's Tiaguinho Cavalcante got a free kick in the 36th minute. With 37 minutes on the clock, Cauã Ribeiro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 45 minutes, Bernardo de Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fireball Esporte Clube and the Dínamo São Paulo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dínamo São Paulo booed when Fireball Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiaguinho Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yan Vieira made a kick off. Gilberto Pereira's late challenge caught a Dínamo São Paulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Fireball Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Pereira. 63 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Vieira came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dínamo São Paulo's zone, Gilberto Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Toledo came out of the goal and Gilberto Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Fireball Esporte Clube's Tiaguinho Cavalcante got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Duarte in the 70th minute of play forced Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Gaúcho in the 72nd minute of play. Ilie Grecescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilie Grecescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Siqueira in the 80th minute. Dínamo São Paulo's 曲珂德 was substituted for Alberto Duarte. Tiaguinho Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when 曲珂德 came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diguinho Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiaguinho Cavalcante went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The Fireball Esporte Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dínamo São Paulo's performance. The match ended with a win for Dínamo São Paulo.
