Nova Venécia-ES's Robinho de Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Nova Venécia-ES from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Nova Venécia-ES booed when Dínamo São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Ivarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Natã Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Dino Tavares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diguinho Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Dínamo São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigmas Duseika to maneuver through the defense. Valdo Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diguinho Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdo Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. Dino Tavares hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Zigmas Duseika came free, but Robinho de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Ronaldinho Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dínamo São Paulo's Diguinho Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Quintal in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Luís Gustavo Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diguinho Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dínamo São Paulo's Diguinho Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Paranaense in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yan Vieira made a kick off. Dínamo São Paulo's Diguinho Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Paranaense in the 50th minute of play. Dínamo São Paulo were furious when Laurent Lanen was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Valdo Diniz struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Diguinho Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Venécia-ES. Zigmas Duseika kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Dínamo São Paulo's goalkeeper Diguinho Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natã Quintal. In the 71st minute Leonel Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, André Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dínamo São Paulo's supporters rose to their feet, but André Siqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Natã Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Dínamo São Paulo's Zigmas Duseika got a free kick in the 85th minute. Leonel Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Diguinho Toledo made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Gonsalve Alabern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diguinho Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Nova Venécia-ES played a much better game than Dínamo São Paulo and deserved their victory. The Dínamo São Paulo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
