An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Soeiro in the 3rd minute of play forced Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Denílson Tepedino took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ilie Grecescu to make any attempt to save it. Ilie Grecescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Soeiro in the 7th minute of the match. Denílson Tepedino took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilie Grecescu. Ilie Grecescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ilie Grecescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match ADM Taquaras got a corner. Fireball Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Malcolm Westerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Denílson Tepedino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jeremias Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, one of Fireball Esporte Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fireball Esporte Clube. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Denílson Tepedino put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ilie Grecescu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Tepedino in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Grecescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Tepedino came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Denílson Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Grecescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denílson Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ilie Grecescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Soeiro in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Tepedino came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilie Grecescu having to make a save. Malcolm Westerberg was slow to take the kick. During this time ADM Taquaras's players had a chance to rest. Malcolm Westerberg made a great header on ADM Taquaras's corner, it was just that Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 86 minutes, Nestor Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ADM Taquaras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilie Grecescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 89th minute of the match. The ADM Taquaras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Ilie Grecescu came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino. But to his dismay, Denílson Tepedino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ADM Taquaras had played much better football throughout.
