In the 8th minute, Sten Andrejević ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romário Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Raphael Arantes's late challenge caught a ROSÁRIO SPORT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raphael Arantes helped the player get up and apologised. Sten Andrejević blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romário Alvarenga having to make a save. Romário Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Andrejević in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 13th minute of play forced SHIRO F.C.'s goalkeeper Romário Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind SHIRO F.C.'s goalkeeper Romário Alvarenga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sten Andrejević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romário Alvarenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Andrejević in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romário Alvarenga saved SHIRO F.C. from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SHIRO F.C.'s Arlindo Siqueira got a free kick in the 31st minute. Dagoberto Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Luiz Corrêa made a huge save. After 44 minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dagoberto Brasil who took care of the corner kick. Dagoberto Brasil made a great header on SHIRO F.C.'s corner, it was just that ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa managed to reach the ball for a save. Luiz Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Pimenta in the 45th minute of the match. Romário Alvarenga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sten Andrejević's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Andrejević stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute ROSÁRIO SPORT were awarded a corner. Dean Harvey went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 57th minute of play forced SHIRO F.C.'s goalkeeper Romário Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Sten Andrejević managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSÁRIO SPORT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Andrejević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arlindo Siqueira hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 68th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Romário Alvarenga was a little too slow when Sten Andrejević got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-4. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Douglas Basso was substituted for Sigvard Rosendal. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Moises Bieito replaced Bruno Félix. Romário Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Alexandros Krieser sent off a good shot on target. Romário Alvarenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Basso in the 96th minute. With a little luck, SHIRO F.C.'s Romário Alvarenga got control of the ball when Alexandros Krieser tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ROSÁRIO SPORT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ROSÁRIO SPORT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
