Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Oliver Bierhoff started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Oliver Bierhoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ADM Taquaras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 9th minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Grecescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Fireball Esporte Clube defense, Oliver Bierhoff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Grecescu. The Fireball Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Grecescu should have stopped the shot. Ilie Grecescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 14th minute of play forced Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Bierhoff might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilie Grecescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Bierhoff ran back to his position shaking his head. Ilie Grecescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Oliver Bierhoff made a precise shot to the right of Ilie Grecescu. Fireball Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 28thth minute of the game Oliver Bierhoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff, in the 28th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ADM Taquaras. Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 30th minute of play. ADM Taquaras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Tiaguinho Cavalcante scored to the left of an out of position Jeremias Moreno, making the score, 1-3. Gil Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half ADM Taquaras were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Pereira to make the kick off. Ilie Grecescu made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Oliver Bierhoff sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd minute, Gilberto Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Bierhoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Ilie Grecescu. If Denílson Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63rd play minutes Oliver Bierhoff shot 1-6, a short shot which went by Ilie Grecescu and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ilie Grecescu. That made the score 1-7 after 67 minutes of play. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Celsinho Perez hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Magalhães came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Tepedino scored 1-8 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Grecescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute of the match ADM Taquaras got a corner. Fireball Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Malcolm Westerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. 81 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Ognyan Altúparmakov came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Bierhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Grecescu having to interfere. Ilie Grecescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Bierhoff's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Oliver Bierhoff 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-9. The Fireball Esporte Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ADM Taquaras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
