After 20 minutes of play, TheGazette's Antal Földes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimir Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marxistas's goalkeeper Vladimir Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, TheGazette's Antal Földes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimir Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of TheGazette booed when Marxistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarbas Siqueira in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Müjdat Semin saved TheGazette from getting behind. Gerson Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Costa having to interfere. TheGazette were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
