In the 17th minute of the match, Cristiano Messi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yuri Loureiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Minuano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jiang Yi Chong was slow to take the kick. During this time Corinthians's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atlético Minuano's goalie and right to González Speed. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Messi got free with Yuri Loureiro in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Iván Urtzi hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Corinthians defense, Dominik Piglowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Almeida. The Corinthians fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Almeida should have stopped the shot.

Leopoldo Palmeira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 52 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Kiril Biradzhiev. It was beautiful to see Atlético Minuano's Nicolas Romero in action when he in the 54th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Jiang Yi Chong got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Dominik Piglowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Minuano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominik Piglowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Corinthians defense, Nicolas Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Almeida. The Corinthians fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Almeida should have stopped the shot. Atlético Minuano made a substitution. Mathias Ortiz replaced Alfredinho Aparecido. 76 minutes into the game, Nicolas Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Jaime Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Messi in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuri Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Atlético Minuano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians:s goal. The referee gave Corinthians a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Iván Urtzi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Minuano's Yuri Loureiro. 1-4. If Dominik Piglowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute José Vítor Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that José Vítor Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yuri Loureiro was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
