The Maragassume AD - CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Lepo Lepo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frédson Chaves came free, but Glauco Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Frédson Chaves made a precise shot to the right of Glauco Borges. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Sanches in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glauco Borges saved Lepo Lepo FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Lepo Lepo FC defense, Ronaldão Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glauco Borges. The Lepo Lepo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glauco Borges should have stopped the shot. Glauco Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Sanches in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldão Sanches stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lepo Lepo FC's zone, Sergiu Râznicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Borges came out of the goal and Sergiu Râznicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frédson Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Loyola got a throw-in 56 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aníbal Amaral. In the 57thth minute of the game Ronaldão Sanches who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lepo Lepo FC's Glauco Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute, Ronaldão Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Glauco Borges. Lepo Lepo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. The Maragassume AD - CIMZ fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Ronaldão Sanches looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by João Carlos Cunha in the 72nd minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Ronaldão Sanches put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Glauco Borges. If Jeferson Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. Lepo Lepo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maragassume AD - CIMZ the free kick. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Frédson Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
