Generoso Ieltxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Nørlyk in the 4th minute of play. Adam Nørlyk hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons EC's goalkeeper Marco Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Dragons EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. José Alagoano hit a great ball. When Piotrek Michna came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Estrela Futebol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piotrek Michna couldn't finish the play. With his leg Generoso Ieltxu managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Dragons EC's Anatoliy Lobanov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 13 minutes into the match, Estrela Futebol Club's goalkeeper Generoso Ieltxu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatoliy Lobanov. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrela Futebol Club's goalkeeper Generoso Ieltxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tzanyo Kibarov in the 18th minute of play forced Dragons EC's goalkeeper Marco Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anatoliy Lobanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Ieltxu having to interfere. In the 26th minute Piotrek Michna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anatoliy Lobanov in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Generoso Ieltxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Pitta in the 30th minute of play forced Estrela Futebol Club's goalkeeper Generoso Ieltxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Piotrek Michna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When José Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Dragons EC fans jumped to their feet. The audience was convinced that Tzanyo Kibarov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Pinheiro was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Váldson Favoretto with Thomás de Azevedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Marco Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piotrek Michna, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Estrela Futebol Club booed when Dragons EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tzanyo Kibarov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Piotrek Michna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Marco Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Tzanyo Kibarov made the kick off in the second half. Marco Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tzanyo Kibarov went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Piotrek Michna took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Pinheiro. Marco Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 71st minute Anatoliy Lobanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Ieltxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tzanyo Kibarov in the 73rd minute of play forced Dragons EC's goalkeeper Marco Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício de Queiroz hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anatoliy Lobanov in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Generoso Ieltxu saved Estrela Futebol Club from getting behind. Anatoliy Lobanov took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Ieltxu. Generoso Ieltxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A collision led to Dragons EC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Adam Nørlyk hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Estrela Futebol Club's Tzanyo Kibarov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Pinheiro. Marco Pinheiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. After 91 played minutes Dragons EC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Braga. Anatoliy Lobanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Generoso Ieltxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dragons EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Estrela Futebol Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Estrela Futebol Club.
