Dragons EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adam Nørlyk in the 5th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in José Alagoano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Anatoliy Lobanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Benjamin Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbson Messias in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Huygens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Nørlyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Messias in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Huygens saved Dragons EC from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Dragons EC's goal looked a bit too open when Raí da Silveira came free, but Casper Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anatoliy Lobanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Benjamin Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, José Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragons EC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Rockets's Benjamin Mazza got control of the ball when Anatoliy Lobanov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anatoliy Lobanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Mazza having to interfere. Anatoliy Lobanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, one of Rockets:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rockets. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

66 minutes into the match, Dragons EC's Anatoliy Lobanov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Messias in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Huygens saved Dragons EC from getting behind. 74 minutes into the game, Júlio Pires threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dragons EC's Claudinho Braga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Anatoliy Lobanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Mazza having to interfere. After 80 played minutes, Dragons EC's Adam Nørlyk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Mazza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dragons EC reached it. If Anatoliy Lobanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dragons EC's José Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Dragons EC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Dragons EC's Anatoliy Lobanov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Gilvan Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rockets's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilvan Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Huygens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Dragons EC were the better team. Dragons EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
