When Maicon Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xanda FC's protests and gave Maicon Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Xanda FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. When the final whistle sounded Independente F.C. Limeira left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xanda FC.
