The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ronalds McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Basso in the 9th minute of play. Ronalds McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Turek having to interfere. Astor Hug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Turek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronalds McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ronalds McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Emil Turek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Hug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Alfons Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronalds McDonald got free with Emil Turek in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Gerber in the 33rd minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Astor Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Joaquin Jobo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportivo Coala's Astor Hug was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Basso came free, but Astor Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronalds McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronalds McDonald in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Turek saved PÉROLA CRISTAL - ES from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquin Jobo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Astor Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Jobo in the 51st minute of the match. Ronalds McDonald might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Turek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronalds McDonald ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th match minute, PÉROLA CRISTAL - ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Hellström to maneuver through the defense. Ronalds McDonald struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Emil Turek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportivo Coala. Ronalds McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmundo Basso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Astor Hug. That made the score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Joaquin Jobo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Astor Hug. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 76thth minute of the game Ronalds McDonald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PÉROLA CRISTAL - ES's Emil Turek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Desportivo Coala's Astor Hug got control of the ball when Edmundo Basso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Basso got free with Astor Hug in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronalds McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
