In the 5th minute Ronalds McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ronalds McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronalds McDonald's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Xanda FC's Diogo da Rocha got a free kick in the 11th minute. Xanda FC's Ian Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronalds McDonald in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronalds McDonald in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Melo saved Xanda FC from getting behind. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronalds McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronalds McDonald in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Desportivo Coala booed when Xanda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Gilvan Azevedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Xanda FC's Ian Melo. Ian Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronalds McDonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Ian Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronalds McDonald went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronalds McDonald in the 40th minute of play. 0-3 became the score in the 45th minute when Ronalds McDonald elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronalds McDonald made a kick off. Astor Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Guedes in the 51st minute of play. If Ronalds McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Diogo da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronalds McDonald in the 60th minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Xanda FC's Ian Melo got control of the ball when Ronalds McDonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Ronalds McDonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportivo Coala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronalds McDonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronalds McDonald who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Ian Melo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th match minute, Xanda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Desportivo Coala's Ronalds McDonald tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Franklin Galvão got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ian Melo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Franklin Galvão put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ian Melo. In the 92nd minute, Ramachandramurthy Van Dijk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Desportivo Coala played a much better game than Xanda FC and deserved their victory. The Xanda FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
