The audience thought a goal was coming when Milosz Juszkowski got free with Ian Melo in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matías Guedes hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Laranjense's zone, Jânio Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Palmiro Gueifão came out of the goal and Jânio Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Laranjense's Ian Melo threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredinho Cabral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 19th play minutes Milosz Juszkowski shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Ian Melo and just under the crossbar into goal. Luiz Fernando Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Ian Melo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 29th minute Luiz Fernando Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Palmiro Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milosz Juszkowski in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milosz Juszkowski. 37 minutes into the match, Milosz Juszkowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ian Melo, 3-0. In the 41st match minute, Xanda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Arce to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Norberto da Silva made the kick off in the second half. Milosz Juszkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Juszkowski in the 53rd minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54thth minute of the game Milosz Juszkowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xanda FC's Ian Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Laranjense fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Laranjense's Milosz Juszkowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Diogo da Rocha hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Xanda FC's Ian Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredinho Cabral in the 67th minute of play. Ian Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milosz Juszkowski went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Juszkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Matías Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Palmiro Gueifão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matías Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute Leon Peio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Milosz Juszkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laranjense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milosz Juszkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ian Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milosz Juszkowski in the 90th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Laranjense fans cheered their team off the field, for while Xanda FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
