Gustavo Sergipano started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Italva's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Sergipano came free, but Hílton do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, IGUIPORÃ FC's Gustavo Sergipano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hílton do Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Pereira during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of IGUIPORÃ FC booed when Esporte Clube Italva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esporte Clube Italva's goalkeeper Hílton do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When IGUIPORÃ FC's Gustavo Sergipano in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hílton do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Gabby Batistuta got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Maurício Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Sergipano in the 31st minute of play. If Cipriano Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Italva's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Sergipano came free, but Hílton do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Gustavo Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hílton do Valle came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by IGUIPORÃ FC's João Adolfo Goiano. But to his dismay, João Adolfo Goiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hílton do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by He Shi Yu in the 47th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Italva's goalkeeper Hílton do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, He Shi Yu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton do Valle. Esporte Clube Italva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that He Shi Yu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The wind increased when Hílton Travassos made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes IGUIPORÃ FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Matorin. A collision led to IGUIPORÃ FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Albert Sparnaaij hit a great ball. Hílton do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Sergipano in the 60th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, IGUIPORÃ FC's Gustavo Sergipano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hílton do Valle made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gustavo Sergipano sent off a good shot on target. He Shi Yu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. IGUIPORÃ FC's Ildefonso Rufio was substituted for Jaime Moreno. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's He Shi Yu got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, João Adolfo Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Hílton do Valle. Esporte Clube Italva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After some careless play in the Esporte Clube Italva defense, João Adolfo Goiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hílton do Valle. The Esporte Clube Italva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hílton do Valle should have stopped the shot. IGUIPORÃ FC's Jairo de Mendonça was substituted for Adriano Alagoano. Eric Hjortsberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hílton do Valle came out and tried to block the shot, but Eric Hjortsberg slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 81st minute. Eric Hjortsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 87 minutes, Eric Hjortsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IGUIPORÃ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Hjortsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, João Adolfo Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. IGUIPORÃ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Adolfo Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Hjortsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton do Valle having to interfere. The Esporte Clube Italva fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. IGUIPORÃ FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
