When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Sergipano made a kick off. Carlos Carioca came out of the goal and Aykut Adar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Chaves in the 74th minute of play. Daniel Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Hjortsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77thth minute of the game Eric Hjortsberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ciro de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobo Guará's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro de Moraes got free with Carlos Carioca in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Goiano in the 82nd minute of the match. Danél Iriart made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gabby Batistuta. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lobo Guará walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
