The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes 卡納里尼奧 FC got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Pombal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 20th minute of play forced Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 卡納里尼奧 FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Vidal in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Batista. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hudson Arósio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half 卡納里尼奧 FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. The Santo Amaro AC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching 卡納里尼奧 FC's performance. The match ended with a win for 卡納里尼奧 FC.
