Apat Reina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Lago in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Tastzian in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apat Reina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Wellington de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Edgar Trigo managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Retumbante FC's Kauã Mandrak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 32 minutes of play, Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apat Reina was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Tastzian in the 35th minute of play forced Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Tastzian in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apat Reina saved Retumbante FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Frank Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Wellington de Godoi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apat Reina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Retumbante FC made a substitution. Jarbas Dantas replaced Basílio Cearense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agustín Tastzian to strike the kick off in the second half. Fellipe Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fellipe Lago was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 59th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Retumbante FC's Apat Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Tastzian in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urban Stenman got free with Apat Reina in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute José Paulo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urban Stenman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, José Paulo Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Barrenta SC's Apat Reina threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fellipe Lago, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
