An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Bellingham in the 47th minute of play forced Figueirense - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Evandro Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Betão Moraes made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jude Bellingham in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evandro Dracena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romário Ronaldo's late challenge caught a Figueirense - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romário Ronaldo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Figueirense - FSCMZ booed when Clube Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Ronaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Clube Atlético Mineiro getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. The Clube Atlético Mineiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0.
