The audience thought a goal was coming when Bon Čáp got free with Evandro Dracena in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesinha Brasil made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Faustão Valladares immediately put the ball in play. In the 17th minute Hao Zhan Ping shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bon Čáp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Evandro Dracena made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Mário Maradona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evandro Dracena was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Mário Maradona might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evandro Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mário Maradona ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute, one of Figueirense - FSCMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Figueirense - FSCMZ. The referee gave MINEIROS a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mário Maradona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Figueirense - FSCMZ's Evandro Dracena. 5-0. Mário Maradona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evandro Dracena having to make a save. MINEIROS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
