When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Eusébio Angelsø sped through S.E. Cachoeirinha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Betão de Amaral. Betão de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Dorival Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gian Weidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Elder Luz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Angelsø in the 25th minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betão de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Xavier in the 28th minute of the match. Marco de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Betão de Amaral came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Giovana F C's Iustin Teodor. But to his dismay, Iustin Teodor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Natanael Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Natanael Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Betão de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Dorival Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gian Weidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Zé Recife. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Eusébio Angelsø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giovana F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Angelsø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Veloso was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Betão de Amaral managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Giovana F C's Eusébio Angelsø fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natanael Ceresso in the 54th minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Angelsø blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betão de Amaral having to make a save. Eusébio Angelsø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão de Amaral having to interfere. Betão de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Angelsø in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Giovana F C's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Luz came free, but Gian Weidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio Angelsø blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betão de Amaral having to make a save. When Marco de Castro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. In the 88th minute, Marco de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natanael Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Betão de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giovana F C. Tadeu Xavier scored 0-6 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Betão de Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovana F C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
