An unexpectedly hard shot by Noureddine Seret in the 9th minute of play forced America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of America FC booed when Torino SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Prado having to interfere. A collision led to Torino SSA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luan Lucas hit a great ball. Gildo Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Aguiar in the 16th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Vladimir da Rocha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Egídio Prado. The goal made the score 3-1. After 36 played minutes Torino SSA got a freekick which was hit by Meta Noia. Egídio Prado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gilmar Maranhense. Egídio Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luiz da Costa was the one to do the kick off. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. America FC fully deserved thier win.
