After some careless play in the Diamonds FC defense, Jardel Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltazar Diniz. The Diamonds FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltazar Diniz should have stopped the shot. Valdomiro Passos made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Nildo Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Valdomiro Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shah Tan in the 17th minute. Baltazar Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Figueiredo in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Diamonds FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cleto Bazil hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Betinho Cardozo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz didn't even have to move. The supporters of Slavo FC booed when Diamonds FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Ribeiro in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Jardel Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esat Çeka in the 41st minute of play. When Jardel Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Slavo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jardel Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Esat Çeka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro Passos. Slavo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esat Çeka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esat Çeka to make the kick off. In the 67th minute of the match Slavo FC got a corner. Diamonds FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Betinho Cardozo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Slavo FC's corner Betinho Cardozo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Baltazar Diniz quite easily take care of the ball. In the 69th minute of the match Slavo FC got a corner. Diamonds FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Betinho Cardozo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 71 minutes, Esat Çeka made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Slavo FC's Valdomiro Passos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdomiro Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diamonds FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Diniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nildo Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdomiro Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Diamonds FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
