BURITIS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dário Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 11thth minute of the game Dário Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dênis Lara shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 17 minutes into the game, Joel Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BURITIS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Danone CC the free kick. A collision led to BURITIS FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Joel Pombal hit a great ball. In the 18thth minute Marquinhos Miranda easily got through BURITIS FC's defense and fired away a shot, but Gustavo Unai leaped left and performed a fabulous save. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jeremias Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enéas Carneiro scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Unai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, BURITIS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Velloso came free, but Gustavo Unai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Albert Vulpe made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Unai. BURITIS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Velloso in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Unai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jeremias Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Danone CC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Unai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the game, Dênis Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Isaltino Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute Dário Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Unai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Unai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rubens Reis made a kick off. Joel Pombal got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 52nd minute, one of BURITIS FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BURITIS FC. In the 58th minute of the match, Jeremias Velloso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustavo Unai saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edson Azevedo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Danone CC's Dário Mesquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Unai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Gustavo Unai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Senna in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Unai saved BURITIS FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Velloso in the 71st minute of play forced BURITIS FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Unai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Samuel McQuarrie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Danone CC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel McQuarrie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Unai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Danone CC's zone, Ernani Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Couto came out of the goal and Ernani Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Enéas Carneiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Gustavo Unai to make any attempt to save it. If Jeremias Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danone CC made a substitution. Oséas Chaves replaced Geovanni de Alcântara. The supporters of BURITIS FC booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Jeremias Velloso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gustavo Unai. The goal made the score 1-8. When Enéas Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Danone CC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enéas Carneiro couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Rubens Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. BURITIS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubens Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaltino Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Enéas Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Jerônimo Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Enéas Carneiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With an all-out effort, Danone CC's Gustavo Unai threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jeremias Velloso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match was over Danone CC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BURITIS FC throughout the match.
