The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The São Paulo Leste F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Edvard Gråberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 6 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Gråberg came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the União Verde FC defense, Edvard Gråberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Pérez. The União Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Pérez should have stopped the shot. In the 11th match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Motta to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Gao Kun Mo managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo Leste F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gao Kun Mo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Pérez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir Pérez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Edvard Gråberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. 20 minutes into the game, Edvard Gråberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Edvard Gråberg ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gao Kun Mo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Pérez saved União Verde FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gao Kun Mo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Pérez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edvard Gråberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Pérez having to interfere. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Gråberg in the 33rd minute of play. David Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, União Verde FC's Laércio Damião got a free kick in the 35th minute. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Gråberg in the 36th minute of the match. Maximilian Mellberg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Valdir Pérez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gao Kun Mo went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After the first half São Paulo Leste F.C. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laércio Damião to strike the kick off in the second half. When Benjamim Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the União Verde FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamim Saldanha couldn't finish the play. Valdir Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gao Kun Mo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Coutinho took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. David Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Edvard Gråberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto de Salles. 63 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvard Gråberg. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Gao Kun Mo took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Valdir Pérez to make any attempt to save it. 73 minutes into the match, Gao Kun Mo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gao Kun Mo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. It was a well-played corner which Maximilian Mellberg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 83rd minute, Gao Kun Mo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdir Pérez. The goal made the score 0-12. Valdir Pérez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leendert Looze in the 85th minute. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Gråberg in the 89th minute of play. União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save União Verde FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Paiva during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gil Paiva hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The supporters of União Verde FC booed when São Paulo Leste F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gao Kun Mo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over São Paulo Leste F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than União Verde FC throughout the match.
