Henrique de Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José de Brito having to make a save. 3 minutes into the match, Criciúma's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique de Lima came free, but José de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique de Lima got free with José de Brito in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6thth minute of the game Henrique de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Criciúma's José de Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Criciúma's José de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique de Lima in the 12th minute of play. José de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Dante in the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Criciúma's goalkeeper José de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrique de Lima. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique de Lima got free with José de Brito in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Almeida came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Criciúma's José de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Dante in the 35th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Tomás Amaral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José de Brito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th minute of the match, Gilvan Dante tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José de Brito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 43rd minute César de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Tham was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Almeida in the 52nd minute of the match. José de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 63rd play minutes Gilvan Dante shot 1-0, a short shot which went by José de Brito and just under the crossbar into goal. Henrique de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique de Lima in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José de Brito saved Criciúma from getting behind. After 82 minutes of play, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Henrique de Lima made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Bebeto da Costa fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Donzela de Ferro FBPA's protests and gave Bebeto da Costa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Donzela de Ferro FBPA getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bebeto da Costa hit a great ball. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
