Valdir Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique de Lima in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Donzela de Ferro FBPA getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gilvan Dante hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Donzela de Ferro FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Dante to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique de Lima in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Henrique de Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdir Pérez was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Henrique de Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdir Pérez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique de Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique de Lima in the 24th minute of play. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Guia, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's goalkeeper Carlos Germano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademir Guia. When Ademir Guia fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Verde FC's protests and gave Ademir Guia a yellow card for diving instead. Ademir Guia hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique de Lima in the 35th minute of the match. If Henrique de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, César de Souza notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Damião made a kick off. If Bebeto da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Pérez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique de Lima in the 59th minute. Henrique de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Pérez was a little too slow when Henrique de Lima got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-3. With a little luck, União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez got control of the ball when Henrique de Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in União Verde FC's zone, Henrique de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Pérez came out of the goal and Henrique de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute of the game Agnaldo Tinoco made a throw-in which Laércio Damião played forward. When Henrique de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Donzela de Ferro FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique de Lima couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Henrique de Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Pérez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henrique de Lima scored 0-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdir Pérez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. César de Souza hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 91st match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Motta to maneuver through the defense. Víktor Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdir Pérez having to make a save. With a little luck, União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez got control of the ball when Víktor Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdir Pérez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Víktor Peres showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 93 minute of play. Víktor Peres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdir Pérez came out and tried to block the shot, but Víktor Peres slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 96th minute. When the match was over Donzela de Ferro FBPA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than União Verde FC throughout the match.
