In the 10thth minute of the game Dário Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th match minute, BURITIS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Unai made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Dário Mesquita sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to BURITIS FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bernard Zielinski hit a great ball. Isaltino Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovanni de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Dário Mesquitas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Gustavo Unai to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 30th minute, Vito da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dário Mesquita came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustavo Unai could save by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, BURITIS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Proença came free, but Gustavo Unai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Danone CC were awarded a corner. Gernando Proença went to the cornerflag to take it. Gernando Proença made a great header on Danone CC's corner, it was just that BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to BURITIS FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jerônimo Linhares hit a great ball. Gustavo Unai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dário Mesquita in the 37th minute. BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel McQuarrie in the 41st minute of play. Joel Pombal hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Gernando Proença sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai didn't even have to move. Dário Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Gustavo Unai made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dário Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the BURITIS FC defense, Gernando Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Unai. The BURITIS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Unai should have stopped the shot. In the 55thth minute of the game Gernando Proença who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Gernando Proença almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai did a great save. After 61 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Dário Mesquita. With a little luck, Danone CC's Isaltino Couto got control of the ball when Rubens Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Gernando Proença who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Reis in the 75th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Unai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Mesquita in the 78th minute of the match. Danone CC's Gernando Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danone CC made a substitution. Fausto Senna replaced Enéas Carneiro. Gernando Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Unai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gernando Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th match minute, BURITIS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Reis to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Unai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Unai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danone CC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
