Pedrinho de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Cebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Qu Feng Bin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ole-Johan Larsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stian Selnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atlético São Sebastião's Qu Feng Bin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferreirinha Vinhas in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Ole-Johan Larsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qu Feng Bin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Cebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Pedrinho de Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferreirinha Vinhas in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qu Feng Bin saved Atlético São Sebastião from getting behind. With a little luck, Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós got control of the ball when Roberto Simões tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lázaro Galtero hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristian Sanne during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Alfa FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético São Sebastião:s goal. Godofredo Cebo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some careless play in the Alfa FC defense, Godofredo Cebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrinho de Queirós. The Alfa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrinho de Queirós should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stian Selnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Atlético São Sebastião booed when Alfa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferreirinha Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferreirinha Vinhas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Pedrinho de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godofredo Cebo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Atlético São Sebastião's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Cebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Godofredo Cebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Atlético São Sebastião was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Godofredo Cebo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Atlético São Sebastião fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Cebo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celestino Arnalt in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrinho de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfa FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
