Célio Dionísio started the match with the kick off. When Célio Dionísio fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Bacanas FC's protests and gave Célio Dionísio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Los Bacanas FC's Célio Dionísio got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 8 minutes of play, Alfa FC's Ole-Johan Larsen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the game, Ferreirinha Vinhas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Olívio Arruda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Los Bacanas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ole-Johan Larsen came free, but Olívio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole-Johan Larsen in the 16th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Caco Vianna put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Los Bacanas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! In the 27th minute Ole-Johan Larsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stian Selnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Olívio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Galtero in the 29th minute of the match. If Célio Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Galtero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Luz lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ciro Luz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Ole-Johan Larsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Ole-Johan Larsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alfa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stian Selnes was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Nilson Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 51 minutes into the match, Stian Selnes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Arruda. Los Bacanas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stian Selnes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Stian Selnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Arruda having to interfere. If Stian Selnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olívio Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stian Selnes in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Alfa FC's Ole-Johan Larsen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olívio Arruda. Olívio Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. When Ole-Johan Larsen came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Alfa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole-Johan Larsen couldn't finish the play. Olívio Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, Alfa FC's Stian Selnes made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olívio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Johan Larsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Stian Selnes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olívio Arruda. Stian Selnes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Los Bacanas FC from getting a goal against them. Alfa FC were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Los Bacanas FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ole-Johan Larsen took the corner. Alfa FC's Hugo Neiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olívio Arruda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ole-Johan Larsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Olívio Arruda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda got control of the ball when Ole-Johan Larsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 85 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Pires. Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Los Bacanas FC from getting a goal against them. Stian Selnes took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olívio Arruda. Olívio Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12. After some careless play in the Los Bacanas FC defense, Ole-Johan Larsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olívio Arruda. The Los Bacanas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olívio Arruda should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Alfa FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Los Bacanas FC throughout the match.
