Rodrigo Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anaia Barba's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anaia Barba in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Pernambucano in the 38th minute of play forced Pombal FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Oscar Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexilhão F. C. the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anaia Barba was the one to do the kick off. Pombal FC's Rodrigo Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Pombal FC from getting a goal against them.
