Aloísio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Quintal in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes Matadores FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvinho Quintal who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Soeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aloísio Abreu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Narciso Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aloísio Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Erivaldo Moreno took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tang Quan Yan. Tang Quan Yan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tang Quan Yan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tang Quan Yan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogério Carneiro went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Matadores FC's Nilton Fontes got a free kick in the 40th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Silvinho Quintal made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Matadores FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Horácio Zanette hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the game, Inácio Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matadores FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinheiros Capibaras FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Matadores FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pinheiros Capibaras FC:s goal. Inácio Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Válbson Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Silvinho Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Silvinho Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Pinheiros Capibaras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvinho Quintal couldn't finish the play. Aloísio Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Mendes in the 77th minute. Pinheiros Capibaras FC were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Matadores FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Silvinho Quintal took the corner. After 85 minutes, Rogério Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinheiros Capibaras FC and the Matadores FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Rogério Barreto got a free kick in the 85th minute. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pinheiros Capibaras FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerson Bueno was slow to take the kick. During this time Matadores FC's players had a chance to rest. Gerson Bueno made a great header on Matadores FC's corner, it was just that Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Tang Quan Yan managed to reach the ball for a save. Rogério Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Válbson Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Inácio Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tang Quan Yan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
