Kepa Arrizabalaga came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Kepa Arrizabalaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund MZB from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Gustavo do Valle made a kick off. Aloísio Castro struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Kepa Arrizabalaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floripa Lions FSCMZ. Luís Fabiano Breckenfeld charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Kepa Arrizabalaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Sousa in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Montenegro in the 72nd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kepa Arrizabalaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Kepa Arrizabalaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Montenegro in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Gilberto Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
