Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 24th minute of play. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Albuquerque in the 26th minute of the match. If Aloísio Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Karaboudjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Gomes to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Karaboudjan defense, Luiz Gustavo do Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Abraão. The Karaboudjan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Abraão should have stopped the shot. Marcelinho Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandinho Albuquerque got free with Amerigo Muzi in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 92nd match minute, Karaboudjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. The Karaboudjan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Floripa Lions FSCMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Floripa Lions FSCMZ.
